You can help us by leaving a gift in your will. To date, more than 60 cities globally have endorsed the Plant Based Treaty as teams work to secure the first country endorsement. The cities are joined by over 4,000 groups and businesses and a quarter million individuals, including cultural leaders such as Sir Paul McCartney, Dr. Jane Goodall and five Nobel Prize winners.

Plant Based Treaty campaigns are spreading rapidly with over 200 teams worldwide in 50 countries, and we need your help to start new teams and launch hundreds of city campaigns in all parts of the world.

Highlights include:

• • • The Scottish capital, Edinburgh, became our first Plant Based Treaty city to develop a detailed action plan, including introducing carbon labelling on menus in schools and universities, expanding plant-based options in institutions, and public education campaigns. 
    • When Amsterdam endorsed, they committed to working with institutions and businesses to introduce Vegan Fridays in 2025 and committed the city to shift consumption patterns to 60% plant-based proteins by 2030.
    • In 2025, we’ve doubled the number of city endorsements to almost 70 cities including, Culver City in California, Strasbourg in France, Belem in Brazil, Campolide in Portugal, three cities in Spain, and Arnhem in The Netherlands. Their commitments include piloting plant-based meals in public dining halls, requiring at least 50% plant-based catering at municipal events, and organizing community-based plant-based cooking workshops.
